Sports Eligibility
Counselors are not always aware of students who are high school athletes or wish to be athletes in college. Please make sure your counselor is aware of your goals so that they can help guide you in taking the right courses. The key is to not only perform well on the field/court but to also perform well in the classroom. Being able to make the team in college doesn't do you any good if you can't get past the admissions office. College athletic recruiters are looking for the total package. You should strive to be a STUDENT athlete. Colleges are governed by either the NCAA Clearinghouse or NAIA. We advise students to strive to meet prerequisites to play NCAA Division I sports in college.
